Statement of Faith and Our Beliefs

WE BELIEVE in one God, who is Maker and Creator of the world and all things visible and invisible. God is the LORD – the Great I AM. The LORD Almighty is the only true living God and the everlasting King. The true God is the Father of the Lord Jesus Christ. The one God exists as a Holy Trinity – God the Father, God the Son (Jesus), and God the Spirit. Exodus 3:14-15; Deuteronomy 6:4-6; Psalm 90:2; Isaiah 44:6; Jeremiah 10:10; John 10:30; 1 Corinthians 8:4; Acts 2:33; Acts 14:15; Acts 17:24. 

WE BELIEVE in the LORD God’s Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, who is begotten of the LORD God by the Holy Spirit through the virgin Mary. Jesus is the promised Jewish Messiah (Christ) from God. Isaiah 11:1-10; Matthew 1:1, 16-17; Mark 14:61-62; Luke 1:26-38; John 4:25-26. 

WE BELIEVE Jesus is Lord of all and God. Jesus is One with His Heavenly Father, the living LORD God, and God the Holy Spirit. John 1:1-5, 14, 18; John 10:30, 38; John 14:9-11; John 17:5, 21-24; Acts 2:36; Acts 10:38; Romans 10:9; Colossians 2:9-10; 1 John 5:20-21.

WE BELIEVE the living LORD God sent His Son Jesus to earth to save the world of their sins and give eternal life through faith in His Son Jesus. Matthew 1:21; John 1:29; John 3:16.

WE BELIEVE the only way to know and understand the living LORD God and have peace and reconciliation with Him is through His only begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. John 14:6; John 17:3; Romans 5:1; 2 Corinthians 5:14-21; 1 Timothy 2:5-6.

WE BELIEVE the Lord Jesus Christ rose from complete death by His Father and the Holy Spirit on the third day. Jesus is alive, and He is seated at the right hand of His Majesty Father in heaven. Luke 24:1-12; Mark 16:19; Acts 2:36; Romans 1:3-4; Hebrews 1:1-4.

WE BELIEVE in Jesus’ death, resurrection, and ascension into heaven. One day the Lord Jesus Christ will descend from the glory cloud of heaven in final judgment and salvation. Matthew 26:64; Mark 14:61-62; Luke 23:26-50; John 20:1-10; Acts 1:9-11.

WE BELIEVE we are saved by faith alone in God’s only begotten Son Jesus so we can continue Jesus’ good works as His disciples and take His Good News into all the world. Matthew 5:1-16; Matthew 28:18-20; John 13:34-35; Ephesians 2:8-10.

WE BELIEVE that the first man Adam sinned, and this original sin caused the Great Fall of all humanity and brought sin and death in the world. However, the second Adam – Jesus brings new life, healing, and forgiveness of sin through faith in Him. Romans 3:23; Romans 5:12; 1 Corinthians 15:45-49.

WE BELIEVE the Holy Spirit, the Giver of life, comes from God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ through faith. The Holy Spirit is God, and He spoke through the prophets and writers of the Holy Scriptures. Genesis 1:1-2; Genesis 2:7; John 3:3-8; John 14:15-17; Acts 1:4-5; 2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21.

WE BELIEVE in a Triune God and one baptism for the forgiveness of sins in the Name of God the Father, God the Son Jesus, and God the Spirit. Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14.

WE BELIEVE that God does not show prejudice but accepts all people from every nation who love, honor, and obey Him and do what is good and right. Acts 10:34-36.

WE BELIEVE that salvation and forgiveness of sins are found ONLY in Christ Jesus. Jesus is the Savior of the world. The living LORD God sent His only begotten Son Jesus into the world as a Man to save the world He loves from their sins through Jesus’ sacrificial death and resurrection. God wants everyone saved. WE BELIEVE Jesus came to unite all people as one with Him as the Chief and Good Shepherd of the Church by the Holy Spirit. John 10:11, 14-15, 16; 1 Corinthians 12:13; Galatians 3:28; 1 Peter 2:9-10.

WE BELIEVE in the final resurrection of the dead and the final judgment at the end of the age. Matthew 25:31-46; Revelation 20:11-15.
